ON THE RATIONAL CHOICE OF THE PROPERTIES OF STRUCTURAL ELEMENTS CONSTITUTING UNIDIRECTIONAL COMPOSITIONS
DOI: 10.17804/2410-9908.2021.3.045-054 A technique is proposed that makes it possible to implement a rational choice of fibers constituting a unidirectional tensile composite. The choice is made in such a way as to avoid catastrophic failure. The tensile properties of the fibers are characterized by complete deformation diagrams with falling branches. It is shown that the fibers must have different properties since it is impossible to avoid a catastrophe (dynamic fracture of the composite) if the properties are identical.
