SPECIAL FEATURES OF THE GRANULAR STRUCTURE OF THE SURFACE ZONE IN PIPE STEEL 12Kh18N12T
DOI: 10.17804/2410-9908.2015.6.063-067 The structure of 12Kh18N12T austenitic pipe steel has been studied by scanning and electron microscopy. It has been shown that the lubricant remaining on the internal surface of a pipe after rolling causes an increase in the carbon content in the near-surface layer under subsequent annealings. Carbide particles are formed in the structure near the internal surface, and considerable grain refining is observed.
