INVESTIGATION OF THE STRUCTURE AND TEXTURE OF COPPER-YTTRIUM ALLOY SUBSTRATE TAPES
DOI: 10.17804/2410-9908.2015.5.139-146 The structure and texture formation are investigated in Cu-1wt%Y binary alloy tapes subjected to 99 % cold rolling followed by recrystallization annealing. The possibility of obtaining a perfect cubic texture in a thin tape made of a binary copper-based alloy with yttrium is shown, which opens up an opportunity for it to be used as a substrate in the production of second-generation high-temperature superconducting tapes. Optimum annealing conditions are determined to form a perfect biaxial texture with more than 95% cubic grains {001}<100>±10° on the surface of the textured tape in the Cu-1wt%Y alloy.
