THE DIGITAL IMAGE CORRELATION METHOD APPLIED TO STUDYINGTHE PLASTIC FLOWOF THE 08G2BMSTEEL UNDER TENSION

The plastic flow of the 08G2BМ steel under tension is studied by the digital image correlation (DIC) method. The plastic strain field in a sample at different stages of the stress-elongation curveis shown. The strain tensor components eyy along the load axis and the rate of its change ė are evaluated quantitatively.
